2024 Struck on the Day D-Day Full Sovereign Gold Coin Box Coa
In 2024 to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Struck on the Day D-Day Gold Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold with a special Privy Mark depicting a soldiers Helmet marked with the number "80" and the entire issue of 1,000 coins will be struck on Thursday 6th June 2024 the day of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day and is the official Struck on the Day D-Day Gold Full Sovereign Coin.
The coin includes it's original Royal Mint box with it's individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Pistrucci's St George and The Dragon, seemingly inseparable from the British Sovereign, is acclaimed throughout the world as a masterpiece of numismatic art.
Its appeal has been so enduring that, with the sole exception of the special 1989 commemorative coins, it has graced the reverse of nearly every British sovereign since Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887.
The reverse design of the 2024 Gold Full Sovereign features Pistrucci's St George and The Dragon.
The obverse depicts Martin Jennings portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
