In 2024, to continue the Great Engravers of the United Kingdom Collection, the Royal Mint released the eighth coin in the series a special Limited Issue Benedetto Pistrucci Waterloo Medal £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid Fine .999 Silver
weighing two ounces of pure Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.
The reverse designed by Benedetto Pistrucci features the infamous Waterloo Medal and features portraits of the four Allied Leaders at it's centre who joined forces to defeat Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Waterloo of 1815 and depicts King George IV, Emperor Francis I of Austria, Tsar Alexander I of Russia and King Frederick William III of Prussia, while the obverse features the portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
