For 2022 to commemorate the Memorial of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Memorial Royal Arms Gold Proof 3 Coin Set struck in solid 22 Carat Goldand includes the Full Sovereign, Half Sovereign, and Quarter Sovereign Coins featuring the new portrait of King Charles III.
The Royal Arms Gold Proof Sovereign Coin Set is housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation case and is accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.
Each of the 22 Carat Gold Proof Sovereigns in the set feature on the reverse a special Royal Arms designed by Jody Clark to commemorate the Memorial of Queen Elizabeth II, together with the First Portrait of His Majesty, King Charles III by Martin Jennings on the obverse. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
