For 2021 to celebrate William Wyon's Three Graces, the East India Company released a very Limited Issue Three Graces £1 One Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of pure Silver on behalf of St Helena.
The reverse design depicts William Wyon's design of The Three Graces in exquisite detail, the three female figures depict three mythological charities and are said to be the daughters of Zeus, representing youth, mirth and elegance with the Latin motto ‘FOEDUS INVIOLABILE’ which translates to “An Unbreakable Treaty”.
The obverse features an inscription of the coin’s monetary denomination ONE POUND and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
