2019 Sherlock Holmes 50p Gold Proof Coin PCGS PR70 DCAM

In 2019 to celebrate the 160th Anniversary of the Birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle author of Sherlock Holmes, the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue Sherlock Holmes 50p Fifty Pence Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM.

The reverse designed by Stephen Raw features a cameo of Sherlock Holmes and title of some of his books w hile the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
