For 2019 the Royal Mint released it's yearly Limited Issue Britannia Premium Gold Proof 6 Coin Set struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM First Strike.
The collection includes the £100 Gold Proof Coin weighing one ounce of pure Gold, the £50 Gold Proof Coin weighing one half ounce of pure gold, the £25 Gold Proof Coin weighing one quarter of an ounce of pure Gold, the £10 Gold Proof Coin weighing one-tenth of an ounce of pure Gold, £1 Gold Proof Coin weighing one-twentieth of an ounce of pure Gold and for the first time the 50p Gold Proof Coin weighing one-fortieth of an ounce of pure gold all PCGS PR70 DCAM First Strike.
The reverse designed by David Lawrence features a traditional depiction of Britannia, channeling the spirit of Ancient Rome, while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
