2017 Queens Beasts Griffin of Edward III £5 Silver 2oz Coin

For 2017 to continue the Queens Beasts Series, the Royal Mint have released a Limited Issue Griffin of Edward III £5 Five Pound Silver Coin struck in solid fine 999.9 Silver weighing two ounces of pure Silver.

The reverse features a stylized image of the Griffin of Edward III while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark .
The 10 Queen's heraldic beasts present at the Queen's Coronation in 1953 were as follows: L ion of England, the Griffin of Edward III, the Falcon of the Plantagenets, the Black Bull of Clarence, the Yale of Beaufort, the White Lion of Mortimer, the White Greyhound of Richmond, the Red Dragon of Wales, the Unicorn of Scotland, and the White Horse of Hanover.
