For 2017 the Royal Mint released it's yearly Limited Issue Britannia £100 One Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin weighing one ounce of pure Gold struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.

The portrait designed by Louis Tamlyn depicts a contemporary reverse design, reflecting a time of political change when the eyes of the world have often been on Britain.
His design also contains the Trident Mint Mark that celebrates this anniversary.
The obverse design features Jody Clark's Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
