For 2016 the Royal Mint released a special new series of Gold Coins celebrating British Monarchs and the centuries of Heraldry.
The first coin in the series of 10, celebrates the Lion of England and has been issued as a £100 One Hundred Pound Gold Coin struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold weighing one ounce of pure Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS69 with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.
The reverse depicts a reimagined stylized image of the Lion of England holding the shield of the Royal Family while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
