In 2015 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the South African Mint released a very Limited Issue Quarter Krugerrand Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold weighing one-quarter of an ounce of pure Gold with a special Battle of Britain Mint Mark.
The reverse of the coin designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope one of the national symbols of South Africa with a special "75 Battle of Britain" Mint Mark and the obverse has the portrait of Paul Kruger. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
