The reverse designed by John Bergdahl echoes the christening coin for Prince George, depicting cherubs heralding Charlotte’s arrival, her name on a cartouche, surrounded by details inspired by the Lily Font used in royal christenings since 1841. The obverse depicts the new Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark .
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
