For 2014 the Royal Mint released it's yearly Limited Issue Britannia Gold Proof 3 Coin Set struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold.
The collection includes the £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof Coin weighing one-quarter of an ounce of pure Gold, the £10 Ten Pound Gold Proof Coin weighing one-tenth of an ounce of pure Gold and the £1 One Pound Gold Proof Coin weighing one-twentieth of an ounce of pure Gold.
The reverse designed by Jody Clark depicts Britannia with a Corinthian-style helmet holding a trident with a lion at her feet. The obverse design has Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
