In 2013 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Queens Coronation, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Coronation £10 Ten Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing five ounces of pure Silver.
The reverse designed by Jonathen Olliffe depicts Westminster Abbey as the backdrop, Orb and Septre and Coronation Robe. The obverse design is a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
