For 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Struck on the Day Diamond Jubilee Celebration Gold Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and the entire issue of 2,012 coins were struck on Saturday 2nd June 2012 the first day of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and is the official Queen's Diamond Jubilee Gold Full Sovereign Coin.

The coin includes the original wooden Royal Mint Box with it's individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The new reverse design of the 2012 Gold Full Sovereign Coin depicts a Modern St George and the Dragon which has been designed by Paul Day while the obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS.
