In 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Bullion Uncirculated Diamond Jubilee Gold Half Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS68.

The new reverse design of the 2012 Half Sovereign depicts a Modern St George and the Dragon which has been designed by Paul Day while the obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS on the obverse.
