The obverse depicts the title of PRC, the year "2008", the traditional paired Chinese dragon image and the emblem of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. The reverse features mainly traditional Chinese folk customs - the folk dance of the Yangtze and the coloured Chinese design - paper cut. The two designs are connected by the design of traditional Chinese window lattice and the face value.
