The obverse depicts the title of PRC, the year "2008", the traditional paired Chinese dragon image and the emblem of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. The reverse features mainly Chinese Architecture - the courtyard residence in Beijing, and colored design on Chinese traditional blue and white porcelain. The two designs are connected by the traditional Chinese Ruyo which symbolizes good wishes and face value.
