In 2008 to commemorate the Last of the Emblems of Britain Coinage, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue 10p Ten Pence Platinum Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Platinum and Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM .
The reverse design depicts part of the crest of England, a lion passant guardant royally crowned and designed by Christopher Ironside.
The obverse features the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS, FSNAD.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
