The American Eagle Platinum Coin features a frosted background and an enhanced brilliant, mirror-like finish on the raised elements of the coin.
The coin features a design symbolic of Liberty on the obverse. On the reverse is a design of Bald Eagle with its wings spread wide to represent freedom, with a shield at the ready to enforce the laws that guarantee this freedom.
The coin has the inscription of the denomination, the weight of the platinum content, the year of minting of issuance, the words 'Liberty', "In God We Trust", United States of America, and a reeded edge, as stipulated by Law.
