In 2007 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the first Britannia, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Britannia £1 One Pound Silver Matte Proof Coin struck in solid .958 Silver and weighing one half of an ounce of pure Silver and depicts the third Britannia design from 2001 Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.
The design Elegant and graceful, she calls to mind the 'Una and Lion' five pound pieces of 1839 as, armed with shield and trident, she guides the British lion into the future.
The obverse designed by Ian Rank Broadley is the stunning effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
