In 2006, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Proof 13 Coin collection which contains Proof specimens of the circulating range of United Kingdom Coins.
This year commemorates the Queen's 80th Birthday £5 Five Pound Coin, also included are two new £2 Two Pound Coins commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Isambard Brunel, The Man & His Achievements and a Shoulders of Giants £2 Two Pound Coin - and three 50p Fifty Pence Coins, two celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Victoria Cross, The Award & Heroic Acts and a Britannia 50p Fifty Pence Coin.
The £1 One Pound Coin represents Northern Island and commemorates Mac Neills Egyptian Arch Bridge.
Also included is the Tudor Rose 20p Twenty Pence, Crowned Lion 10p Ten Pence, Crowned Thistle 5p Five Pence, Prince of Wales 2p Two Pence and Portcullis 1p One Pence Coin.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
