In 2006-P to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the First Liberty Eagle Silver Coin, the United States Mint released a very special Limited Issue Liberty Eagle $1 One Dollar Silver Reverse Proof Coin struck in solid .999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69.
The obverse is the rendition of Adolph A Weinman's magnificent Walking Liberty design originally prepared and executed for the nations first circulating half dollar coin in 1916.
The reverse designed by John M Mercanti portrays a heraldic eagle with a shield. The eagle has arrows in the right talon and an olive branch in the left.
