In 2006, to celebrate the 80th Birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Mint released on behalf of Jersey a Limited Issue Trooping the Colour £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver with 24 Carat Gold.
The reverse depicts a portrait of the Queen Trooping the Colour while the obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank Broadley. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
