In 2004 the United States Mint released a Limited Issue Liberty Eagle $1 One Dollar Silver Coin struck in solid .999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver and Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS69 First Strike.
The obverse is the rendition of Adolph A Weinman's magnificent Walking Liberty design originally prepared and executed for the nations first circulating half dollar coin in 1916.
The reverse designed by John M Mercanti portrays a heraldic eagle with a shield. The eagle has arrows in the right talon and an olive branch in the left.
