In 2003 the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue St George and the Dragon Gold Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS67.
Pistrucci's St George, seemingly inseparable from the British Sovereign, is acclaimed throughout the world as a masterpiece of numismatic art. It's appeal has been so enduring that it has now graced the reverse of nearly every Sovereign issued since the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887 and was extended to the Half Sovereign in 1893.
The 2003 Gold Bullion Full Sovereign is particularly significant, being issued in the year that Her Majesty, The Queen celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Her Coronation.
The reverse features Pistrucci's classic design of St George Slaying The Dragon while the obverse depicts the elegant Fourth Portrait of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by
