The Prince William 21st Birthday Gold Proof Coin Cover features the acclaimed 2003 Royal Mint 22 Carat Gold Proof Full Sovereign Coin and the new Royal Mail 21st Birthday Stamp Issue, the first British Stamps to honour Prince William in his own right.
The stamps have been postmarked 'St Andrews, Scotland', home of the university where Prince William is currently a student. The date 17th June 2003, is that all important first day of issue.
The obverse bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
