In 2003, the Royal Mint in conjunction with the Bank of England released a very special Limited Issue £10 Ten Pound Banknote and Coronation Jubilee £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin Set to commemorate the Coronation Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The £10 Ten Pound Banknote is of the current series in issue and shows the cypher QC50 and a serial number between 000151 and 000650.
The Bank of England have issued this special cypher in honour of this very special occasion. QC50 will not be produced for general circulation and therefore these are the only notes to have this cypher.
The new £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin of 2003 celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Coronation struck in Sterling (.925) Silver to Proof Quality.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
