In 2002, to mark the 5th Anniversary of Princess Lady Diana death and the setting up of the Fund, the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue £5 Five Pound Silver Proof 3 Coin Set struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.

The £5 Five Pound Coins pay tribute to the late Princess and focus on the many and varied aspects of the work undertaken by her Memorial Fund during the first five years of its existence.
The £5 Five Pound Coin from Alderney remembers the Princess's love of children, depicting a charming portrait of her kneeling to receive a bouquet of flowers from a shy girl.
The £5 Five Pound Coin from Guernsey and Jersey highlight the global nature of her Memorial Fund and its work with some of the most vunerable people all over the world.

The obverse of all the coins is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Alderney Coin has been designed by Raphael Maklouf and the obverse of the Jersey and Guernsey coins are by Ian Rank Broadley.
