In 2001 the South African Mint released a special Limited Issue Natura Launch Oryx Gold Proof Coin struck in solid Fine 999.9 Gold weighing one ounce of fine pure Gold to celebrate the Oryx/Gemsbok with a special Mint Mark "CW" and is part of the Monarchs of Africa series and has been Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.

The Mint Mark depicts a Gemsbok head and the letters "CW" for Coin World. Each of the 300 coins were struck in Coin World at the South African Mint on "Oom Paul", one of the oldest mint presses in the world.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
