The reverse designed by John Jennings depicts a controlled yet brightly burning fire whose flames leap through the year 2000. It is a fire which beautifully captures the passionate spirit of the people of Barbados. The obverse design is the Coat of Arms of Barbados. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
