The reverse designed by Willem Vis depicts a delightful portrait of King Albert and Queen Isabella with onlookers vying for a glimpse of their new sovereigns. The obverse design is a stylised map of Europe with stars representative of the European Union. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
