In 1995 to celebrate the Panda, the Bank of China released a very Limited Issue Panda 5 Yuan Platinum Proof Coin struck in solid .999 Platinum weighing one twentieth of an ounce of fine pure Platinum and has been Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR65 DCAM.

The reverse design of Panda coins change each year while the obverse design features the Temple of Heaven building in Beijing.
