In 1993 to celebrate the introduction of new design coinage of Hong Kong, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Hong Kong Proof 7 Coin Collection of the present new coinage of Hong Kong.
The collection includes the new coins which will be issued in early 1993 (the two and five dollars) and those which will be introduced over the next two years, including the new ten dollar, bi-metal coin. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
