In 1985 to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of South African Parliament, the South African Mint released a very Limited Issue Parliament Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold weighing one ounce of pure Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.
The reverse features Crossed Parliamentary Maces with a lion above and shield below representing the four provinces of South Africa while the obverse features the Houses of Parliament in Cape Town showing the street entrance.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
