The reverse design of the Sovereign depicts the classical design of St George Slaying the Dragon. The obverse shows Arnold Machin portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which has appeared on nearly all United Kingdoms coinage since 1968.
The reverse of the Royal Marriage Silver Proof Crown features profile portraits of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, a design by Philip Nathan while the obverse design is the famous portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Arnold Machin. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
