In 1953 to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Coronation 5 Five Shilling Crown Coin Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS64.
The reverse designed by Gilbert Ledward RA depicts in the centre a Crown, a features four quarters of the Royal Arms and in between each shield the emblems of the home nations – a rose, a thistle, a shamrock and a leek for Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales with an edge inscription of 'FAITH AND TRUTH I WILL BEAR UNTO YOU'.
The obverse features a portrait of The Queen, mounted on her horse Winston, dressed in her uniform as Colonel-in-Chief of the Grenadier Guards as worn by Her Majesty during the ceremony of Trooping the Colour.
