In 1911 to celebrate the Coronation of King George V, the Royal Mint released a special Gold Proof Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and has been Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR63.
The reverse design depicts Pistrucci's St George Slaying the Dragon while the obverse has the Bare Head portrait of King Edward VII.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
