In 2004 to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, the Royal Mint in conjunction with Westminster released a Limited Issue £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold on behalf of the issuing country of Jersey and has been specially hand signed by the Great Great Great Grandson of Napoleon Bonaparte and Great Great Granddaughter of Lord Horatio Nelson.
The reverse design depicts HMS Victory in all her glory while the obverse is the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
The collection also includes 2 x Proof One Crown coin covers to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar on behalf of Gibraltar and a mini Gibraltar Stamp sheet commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the Death of Lord Horatio Nelson.
