In 2016 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the First World War, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Poetry and Language £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.

The reverse designed by David Lawrence and features a group of soldiers with the edge inscription "The truth untold, the pity of war" while the obverse is the stunning effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
