In 2011 to celebrate the Elephant, the Bavarian State Mint released on behalf of the Somalia Republic a very Limited Issue Elephant 100 One Hundred Shillings Silver Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver and weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver.
The reverse depicts an Elephant and Baby drinking water with the sun beaming down while the obverse has the Coat of Arms of the Somalia Republic and the denomination.
