2007 Act of Union £2 Silver Proof Coin PCGS PR70 DCAM
In 2007, to celebrate the Tercentenary of the Act of Union between England and Scotland, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Act of Union £2 Two Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM.
The reverse design by Yvonne Holton divides the coin into four quarters, with a rose and a thistle occupying two of the quarters and a portcullis in each of the other two quarters. The whole is overlaid with a linking jigsaw motif and surrounded by the dates "1707" and "2007" and the denomination "TWO POUNDS" with an edge inscription "UNITED INTO ONE KINGDOM".
The obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank Broadley.
