1994 South Africa Prestige Natura Lion Gold Proof 4 Coin Set Boxed

In 1994 for the first time ever, to celebrate the Lion, the South African Mint released a very special Limited Issue Prestige Natura Lion Gold Proof 4 Coin Set all struck in solid 24 Carat Gold and includes the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz coins and is part of the Natura Big 5 series.

The reverse design depicts the Lion while the obverse design shows the Buffalo defending itself against an attacking Lion .
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
