On October 2003, Concorde makes her final flight. For twenty seven years the supersonic aircraft has fascinated people around the world and it was a sad day when British Airways and Air France announced that she would be permanently grounded from Autumn 2003, bringing to an end a significant chapter in the history of aviation. The reverse design features an image of Concorde in flight, superimposed upon an interpretation of the plane's undercarriage. The obverse shows Concorde in flight which has been colourised.
