In 2001, to commemorate the Centenary of Queen Victoria, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Brilliant Uncirculated Queen Victoria £5 Five Pound Coin First Day Cover.
The reverse has a classic portrait of the young Queen Victoria based on the Penny Black postage stamp with a V representing Victoria and taking the form of railway lines with a background of the iron framework of the Crystal Palace and the denomination £5 Five Pound, dated "1901" and "2001" designed by Mary Milner-Dickens.
The obverse design is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
